Madison, WI — StartingBlock Madison, Inc. has been awarded a $200,000 Entrepreneurship Partner Grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), marking a significant milestone in supporting Wisconsin's innovative startup landscape.
The grant, part of WEDC's latest round of Entrepreneurship Partner Grants, will enable StartingBlock to develop and run a comprehensive series of pre-accelerator and accelerator programs through October 2025. These programs will strategically focus on critical sectors driving Wisconsin's economic growth, including:
Advanced Manufacturing
Food and Beverage
Agriculture and Sustainability
"This funding represents a tremendous opportunity to support and accelerate entrepreneurship across Wisconsin," said Scott Mosley, CEO at StartingBlock. The Entrepreneurship Partner Grants, created in 2021, aim to provide crucial support to organizations that offer training, financing, mentorship, and technical assistance to startups statewide. StartingBlock's grant is part of a larger $1.3 million investment supporting eight organizations committed to empowering Wisconsin's entrepreneurial community. This award marks the second time that StartingBlock has receive an EPG grant.
